We are evaluating the possibility of constructing a Columbarium either on the Cemetery grounds or on our Church campus. A Columbarium is a structure to reverently place the cremated remains of loved ones. While the Church allows cremation, it also stipulates that the remains should be buried in a "sacred space" (Cemetery, Columbarium or Mausoleum).
Please note that a Columbarium is distinct from a Mausoleum. A Columbarium is a smaller wall or designed edifice for holding cremation remains; a Mausoleum is a building, typically with a Chapel which holds caskets and/or cremation remains.
