MIT Chamber Music Society
MIT CMS is open by audition to individual students or pre-formed chamber groups, and to staff, spouses and recent alumni but MIT graduate and undergraduate students have priority. The public auditions for new members take place at the beginning of each semester at 7pm in order of arrival on Registration Day (September 5, 2017) in Killian Hall, 14W-111. All students, both new and returning must fill out the information below and attend the meeting to sign up for participation in MIT CMS.

If you are interested in Jazz Combos please fill out the information here: http://web.mit.edu/music/performance/auditions.html

MIT CMS Audition Requirements
New students are expected to play/sing two contrasting pieces of music (or two contrasting movements of a piece) that show the range of their ability and sight-read. You may audition individually or as a group. The audition is for placement purposes. Returning members, whose level of playing is known, need not re-audition but do need to fill out the below information. Chamber Music (21M.445) may be taken for credit.

For any other ensembles, please email performance@mit.edu for information.
