San Bruno 4-H Club FREE Summer Workshops
This summer, the San Bruno 4-H Club, in collaboration with peopleologie, will be offering two Saturday workshops ! These workshops are open to any youth and are absolutely FREE!

But, space is limited. Please register to secure your spot.

Directions: From El Camino Real in San Bruno, take Angus Avenue east; turn right on 1st Avenue. Continue past Lions Baseball Field and SB Community Gardens. The 4-H farm is at the end of the road.

Workshop 1: Saturday, 27th, 1pm - "Let's Dye!"
Learn about how this ancient concept and where the oldest dyeing techniques are practiced today. There will be an opportunity to handle artifacts and transform a piece of cotton into art, Japanese shibori style! You’ll take home a resist-dyed art piece and wall hanging, while weaving together humanities, history, science, math, and more.

Workshop 2: Saturday, August 10th, 1pm - "Weave It and Wear It"
Learn about traditional indigenous weaving through artifacts like raw cotton, llama and alpaca fleece, handmade spindles, looms, a dye made from insects, and clothing that takes a year to make and lasts a lifetime! Learn how you can weave an armband or hair scrunchy and wear it home.
