THRIVE: QTPOC Programming (Pride Center of Vermont) in collaboration with Merril's Roxy Cinema.
In preparation for "The Thrive Ball: Zodiac Haus" happening at Higher Ground Wed Oct 4th 2023, we want to give the Vermont community a chance to get a look into the modern day Vouge/Kiki/Ballroom scene by watching a screening of KiKi: Live Your Truth.
First 50 people RSVP below to have free access to the screening of the film. QT/POC (Queer & Trans POC and other POC folx) have priority for this event. Non-POC are folx welcomed.

"In New York City, LGBTQ youth-of-color gather out on the Christopher
Street Pier, practicing a performance-based artform, Ballroom, which was
made famous in the early 1990s by Madonna’s music video “Vogue” and the
documentary “Paris Is Burning.” Twenty-five years after these cultural
touchstones, a new and very different generation of LGBTQ youth have
formed an artistic activist subculture, named the Kiki Scene. Read more about the movie
