We regret to inform you that the Project Open House and Public Meeting for the Enniskillen BESS project planned to be held on October 11, 2023, has been cancelled due to the results of the Independent Electricity System Operator’s (“IESO”) Deliverability Test. In our efforts to engage the community early and eagerly, our community engagement timelines overlapped with those of the Deliverability Test.

On September 18, 2023 the IESO released the results from its Deliverability Test process, where proposed projects were modelled on the electricity grid in collaboration with transmitters and local distribution companies (i.e. Hydro One). The Enniskillen BESS project connection options were determined to be “Not Deliverable” which means the project is no longer eligible to participate in the IESO’s Long Term 1 (LT1) Request for Proposals (RFP). All development activities for Enniskillen BESS have been suspended.

Please note that our LT1 development activities in Lambton County were limited to this Enniskillen BESS project. Additionally, there is no opportunity to relocate the project.
