If you are interested in learning more about the social work profession and the USM School of Social Work, we invite you to enroll in a class as a non-matriculated student. Space permitting, the following two courses are open to non-matriculated students: 1) SWO 501 Foundations of Justice in Social Work Practice, and 2) SWO 504 Social Welfare Policy I. Please complete this Google Form to request to enroll in either of these courses.
For Fall 2024 enrollment requests, the MSW Program Coordinator will contact you after Open Registration for non-degree students begins on April 22, 2024 to confirm whether or not we can accommodate you in the course. Offers of course enrollment to non-matriculated students are made on a first-come, first-served basis only after all matriculated students have enrolled.
Non-matriculated students may take up to six credits (e.g. two courses) maximum before they are required to apply to the MSW program. Non-matriculated students taking graduate courses in the MSW program must have completed a baccalaureate degree.
