Service is work and/or actions that make a difference in people’s lives. They range from simple projects such as running an errand for a neighbor or cutting the grass for a grandparent, to complex projects such as working for a state law to create stronger penalties against graffiti. Service projects are not those activities which you are already expected to do such as cleaning a room at home.   Please log all hours by May 15.
The number of service hours per year are:
Grade K – 1 hour
Grade 1 – 2 hours
Grade 2 – 4 hours
Grade 3 – 6 hours
Grade 4 – 8 hours
Grade 5 – 10 hours
Grade 6 – 12 hours
