Chalk Howard Street 2019 - Amateur Artist Application
Chalk Howard Street is a street festival in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago on Saturday, July 20, 2019. For the festival, Rogers Park Business Alliance is seeking amateur artists to create 4' x 4' pieces of temporary artwork using chalk and street paint on the pavement of Howard Street, near the CTA red line stop. Chalk Howard Street will be an immersive art experience aimed at promoting and celebrating street art. The street festival will also offer live music, food, alcohol and entertainment.

Featuring internationally-renowned 3D street artists Anat Ronen and Nate Baranowski and 2D artist Jennifer Chaparro, along with other professional 2D artists, Chalk Howard Street is part of a long-term effort to promote Howard Street as a place "where you can be you," with creativity, global cuisine, and culture, situated between the lakefront and public transit.
