RSVP to our Tree Planting event at Tunney's Pasture
Join CAFES, the Mechanicsville Community Association and M.P. Yasir Naqvi on Saturday November 9th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm to help us plant 20 new trees near Tunney's Pasture, in the field between the Kichi Zibi Parkway and Goldenrod Driveway.

This Tree Planting Initiative led by CAFES began in May 2024, with a tree sapling give-away on Mother's Day weekend to increase backyard tree planting in neighbourhoods that need it most. We are now excited to be planting our remaining 20 trees on public land provided by the National Capital Commission (NCC).

No prior tree planting experience needed - if you are interested in learning more about trees, how to plant, or want to get outside and enjoy some fresh air - please join us! We will meet at 1:00 pm at the Goldenrod Community Garden, then walk across the field to the planting site (see location on the map below).

Remember to dress for the weather as we will be outside the entire time. The site has long grass and may be damp. Boots are highly recommended. Coffee, water and light refreshments will be provided.

Please reply to this form to RSVP. If you have any issues filling out the form, please contact eshardlow@cafesottawa.ca
