HackTX 2020 Mentors Form
Hello there!

This form is to gauge your interest and availability to be a mentor for HackTX 2020.

HackTX is an annual hackathon hosted by Freetail Hackers, a student org here at the University of Texas. Due to the ongoing pandemic, HackTX will be going online for a 36-hour virtual hackathon from October 23 - 25. HackTX is focused on creating a friendly and inclusive learning experience for students of all skill levels and walks of life to build creative projects with their peers, with the guidance of mentors and beginner-friendly workshops!

Mentors are expected to be able to do the following:
- Follow the Major League Hacking Code of Conduct.
- Be available for at least an hour sometime between 10 pm on October 23 - 10 am on 25th.
- Help teams out with whatever technical questions they may have.

How this will work:
We will be using Discord for our event and will have a channel for mentors. A bot will ping the channel whenever someone has a question and you can respond and help answer those questions. We will send out a form later asking for your availability during the event to ensure that there are sufficient mentors at all time slots. However, this will be very come and go and you can be as involved as you want. All we ask is that you are free for at least one hour to answer technical and other questions during the event.

Please email hello@freetailhackers.com if you have any questions!
