The Public Partnerships Team provides guidance and support for Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) activities across the Research Delivery Network (RDN). This includes supporting PPI initiatives delivered by Regional Research Delivery Networks (RRDNs) and within strategy and delivery across the RDN Coordinating Centre (RDNCC). This form is for use by colleagues in the Coordinating Centre and the RRDNs to request support and guidance from the Public Partnerships Team. Please complete this form as fully as possible when making your request.
Process
- Complete this form as fully as possible.
- The Public Partnerships Team will reply within five working days.
- If the request is in scope for us to support, we will organise a meeting with the project lead (and their team if required) to assess any additional requirements and discuss next steps specific to your project.
Timescales
- Recruitment of public partners for a meeting or project - four weeks notice of meeting or project start date required*
- Requests for the Public Partnerships Team to provide presentations or arrange meetings with public contributors - five to six weeks notice of meeting date required*
* These timescales are based on the assumption finance requirements are in place. If not, these may stretch.
Please Note when Making Requests
- PPI costs for your project will need to come from your own budget. The Public Partnerships Team can advise on what fees and expenses are applicable using the NIHR Public Payment Policy
- We cannot process payments to public partners on behalf of any other directorates/ organisations.
- If we are unable to support your request, we will try to signpost you to an organisation which has this expertise.
