For many of us, camp friends occupy a special place in our hearts. We grew up together, shared milestones and crazy adventures running through the woods in Hardy, AR. Those experiences were the same for each generation, and since the first CM reunion, friendships have been forged between girls who attended in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s -- across generations. The years were different, but the experience of camp was the same. We all put our names on the cabin rafters in nail polish. We all remember bug juice. You can always tell a Miramichee girl out on the river because we all know how to 'look for the V' and know to keep our bottom arm straight when paddling. We can all tell stories about our disrobing tests (for canoeing! -- keep your mind out of the gutter!).
Add your voice to the songs around the campfire and come join us for this year's reunion. This is the 100th anniversary of the 3 camps that were located in Hardy -- Kiwani, Old Kia Kima, and (the best one) Camp Miramichee. Miramichee girls will gather at the 'old camp' in sight of the low water bridge for campfires, food, indian dances, Rio swim, and lots of memories. Take this opportunity to come and reconnect with the friends of your childhood and enjoy the peace of the river.
