Makers Market @ Tosa Farmers Market - Vendor Rules & Application
The Makers Market at the Tosa Farmers Market is the first Saturday of every month from June to October, 2025.  This market will offer customers a selection of high quality, hand-crafted items and artwork.  Selection of participants will be juried to ensure both the quality and variety of product assortment in the market.  To be considered for the 2025 Makers Market season as a vendor please read the rules and fill out the following application.

The 2025 market will be held in the north-west end of the Hart Park parking lot, just over the wooden bridge from the Tosa Farmers Market.

The Tosa Farmers Market is located in the Hart’s Mills parking lot across from the Little Red Store.  7720 W. Harwood Ave, Wauwatosa.

The Maker's Market is held in the north-west end of the Hart Park parking lot, just over the wooden bridge from the Tosa Farmers Market.
Date & Time
Saturdays:  June 7, July 5, August 2, September 6, and October 4 with two additional limited-availability markets ("Sneak Peek" on May 31st & "Pre-Thanksgiving" on November 22nd).

Market hours :  8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Artists may arrive for set-up starting at 6:30AM.  All booths must be ready to open by 8:00AM.  Any vehicles used in set up must be removed from the market area before 7:00AM.  Late arrivals will not be permitted to set-up, and vehicles will not be allowed into the market after 7:15AM.  Booths must remain open until 12:00PM.  Artists are responsible for the cleanup of their area including the removal of any refuse.  No cars will be allowed back into the lot until 12:15PM.

Fees
The charge for the market space is $60 per day ($10 discount is given to those who signup for automated bank payments).  Once notified of acceptance, please follow the instructions in your acceptance email for payment.  Artists who do not make their payment by the due date may be subject to forfeiture of their market space.

Application Process
1. Submit this application by February 28, 2025.

2. Include link to website from which work may be viewed.  

3. Notification of application status will be sent by March 23rd, 2025.  

4. For accepted applications, payment will be due by April 20th, 2025.  Payment details will be included in acceptance email.

Makers Market @ Tosa Farmers Market Information and Guildelines
1. Open to local artists 18 years or older who are invited to participate by agents of the Tosa Farmers Market, after submitting all application materials outlined below.  No agents, dealers, or representatives may attend in place of the artist.  

2.  All products must comply with federal, state and local laws.

3. Only one artist or multi-artist collaborators may display in a booth unless other arrangements are pre-approved by the farmers market.

4. Ineligible items include items made with commercially available molds or patterns or any items produced commercially or by anyone other than the artist.  No kits or hobby crafts.  It is understood that some assemblage artwork may include found items.  Professional presentation of work is mandatory.

5. Artists are responsible for providing their own tables, tents, tent weights, displays and packaging.  Stalls are approximately 10 feet x 10 feet, and will fit a standard 10x10 tent.  All booth items, including product and signage must fit within your 10 feet x 10 feet booth (e.g. no signage aligned in aisles)

6. Participants are prohibited from distributing literature of, or promoting in any other manner, any religious, fraternal, foundation, political, or commercial organization.  Literature and information pertaining to the artist’s work or affiliated artist organization are permitted.

7. Participants are responsible for the security of their work.  Neither the Tosa Farmers Market, nor any other participating organization will assume any responsibility for any loss or damage to any artistic works or display materials from any cause whatsoever.

8. Artists are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance upon acceptance into the market.  If an artist doesn’t have liability insurance, the artist MUST sign the Tosa Farmers Market waiver.

9. Artists may include a website and short bio to be listed on the Tosa Farmers Market website.  The Tosa Farmers Market reserves the right to edit submissions for space considerations.

10. In general, no refunds are given for absent market dates.  A refund request may be submitted for review no later than 3 weeks before the relevant market date.

11. If you do not notify the market coordinators of an absence at least 24 hours in advance, you may lose future market dates with no refund offered.  The market coordinators will notify you of forfeited markets as a result of a no call/no show situation.  
 
12. By signing the Artist Application Form, the artist is agreeing to the guidelines outlined in this document.  All procedures and rules stated in this document will be strictly enforced.
