Thank you for taking time to read the proposed revisions to Title IV (Disciplinary Canons) of our provincial Constitution and Canons. We value the time, experience, and care you bring to your review of this initial round of proposed changes. The Governance Task Force (GTF) has undertaken an extensive internal Title IV revision process spanning two and a half years, engaging the voices of ACNA practitioners and affected people and communities. It is now opening this to a multi-month public review recess.
Leading up to the next 2026 Provincial Council, the Title IV Orientation and roll-out seeks a collaborative 10-month long review process to involve all levels of the Province to evaluate whether the current DRAFT of the Title IV canonical revisions addresses the perceived challenges of the existing Title IV canons.
Who Will Receive this Feedback?
Collaborative Access + Time stamped + Anonymized Where Requested
All feedback contributed through the automated form provided will be received and viewed by a 4-member panel that includes the Chair of the Governance Task Force, Canon Andrew Rowell, and three others representing key disciplinary, safeguarding, and canon law experts from across the province. This will ensure that all submitted feedback is seen by more than one person to promote accountability and collaboration throughout the process. While this panel will view and help catalog all data, the entire Governance Task Force is responsible for incorporating all new changes into subsequent revisions.
How Will Feedback Be Integrated?- The 4-person panel noted above will receive, compile, and forward reader feedback to the GTF.
- The GTF will formally review and incorporate comments and suggestions into the next draft of proposed Title IV revisions as appropriate.
- The GTF will release a new DRAFT of the Title IV revisions at the end of each review cycle. Each new draft will be updated on the webpage providing information about the Title IV Review Process.
- An overview of reader feedback will be released with each new DRAFT of the Title IV revisions.
- When the Final DRAFT of Title IV revisions are released, a change log will be made available on the webpage providing information about the Title IV Review Process to help readers track changes.
