GovHack is a respected community event which has established strong ties with Australian developer communities, industry, and all tiers of government. We believe the integrity of GovHack is paramount. By joining the GovHack team, you play an important role in the success of the event. Without volunteers like you, GovHack wouldn't be the success it is today!
Within the GovHack team, there are three levels of involvement: the national operations team, the state/territory operations team, and event operations team. Each level of involvement have their own tasks to complete to ensure the success of GovHack. Each level supports the others to ensure the success of their tasks.
The national operations team provides the overall coordination, management and leadership of GovHack. It oversees and supports the state/territory operations teams and event operations teams. Tasks associated with the national operations team include:- national competition and judging coordination- national sponsorship and relations- national communications and marketing- systems architecture- design and creative- red carpet awards evening
The state/territory operations team provides coordination and management for state/territory based activities. It supports the event operations teams within their region. Tasks associated with the state/territory operations team include:- state/territory competition and judging coordination- state/territory sponsorship and relations- state/territory communications and marketing- state/territory connections event (GovHack Pre Event)- state/territory awards event
The event operations team coordinates and runs a single GovHack event over the GovHack weekend (7-9 September 2018). Tasks associated with the event operations team include:- event management and support- local sponsorship and relations- local communications and marketing- community relations
