BYU-H Scholarship Thank You Letter/ Survey
Before submitting your thank you letter please understand that in compliance with FERPA, the following items are considered directory information:

- Students name
- Address
- Telephone listing
- Electronic mail address
- Date and place of birth
- Major field of study
- Enrollment status (e.g., undergraduate or graduate; full-time or part-time)
- Year in School (e.g. freshman, sophomore)
- Dates of Attendance
- Degrees, honors and awards
- Most recent previous educational agency attended or institution attended

In the event a student does not want the directory information released, he/she must submit, in writing, the specific information to be withheld to the Financial Aid Office at financialaid@byuh.edu. This must be done each semester that the exclusion is to apply.

Please write a thank-you letter to those who donated to make your scholarship available. Tell them why you wanted to come to BYU–Hawaii and how the scholarship will help you achieve your goals. Share with them your plans for the future and what you love about BYU–Hawaii. Express your gratitude for their support. (An appropriate letter should be between 200 and 300 words in length. Your letter will be reviewed and edited before being presented to donors.)
