Thunderworks Games attends and hosts a variety of events and conventions throughout the year and we could use extra help in the booth and running demos.

Compensation

Thank you for your interest in supporting Thunderworks Games at events and conventions! Here you will find our standard compensation details for our Demo Crew team.

  • Badge: Minimum one shift per day (or the equivalent) of the convention, TWG will provide you an exhibitor badge or reimburse you for your general attendee badge

  • Compensation: 

    • $15/hour. 

    • You have the choice to take cash payout (through Zelle, ACH/direct deposit, or paper check mailed to you), or use part or all for Thunderworks Games products (50% MSRP.) You are free to sell or trade these games if you wish.

  • Dress Code: Thunderworks Games will supply branded t-shirts to wear during your shifts. 

  • Housing: Required two shifts per day, TWG will provide shared hotel accommodations with other members of the demo crew.

  • Shifts:

    • Typically 4 hours in length.

    • Can cover setup, takedown, booth work, ticketed demo events, or dedicated demo tables.

    • Minimum of one shift per convention day (or the equivalent.)

  • Transportation:

    • Parking: While at the con, if you drive, will be reimbursed.  (Please keep receipts to submit for reimbursement after the convention.)    

    • Other costs for transportation (e.g. mileage/gas) will not be covered by Thunderworks Games.

After the conclusion of the convention or event, Thunderworks Games staff will reach out to confirm your reimbursement and contact information.

Demo/Booth staffing is voluntary and subject to approval by TWG. Poor performance, violation of convention rules/regulations or anti-harassment policy will result in being removed from the volunteer list and possibly being asked to leave the convention by convention staff.
