Thank you for filling out our Global Urban Trek interest form. THIS IS NOT an application, but simply an opportunity to grab a phone or Zoom call with me to learn more about our program. Upon completion of the form, I will email you the program overview for staff and/or for students. This will help give you a sense of what the program is about and any logistical items.
The Global Urban Trek is a six-week immersive justice program that invites our participants to live among the poor, listen to their stories and learn about what God has been doing in their land and communities. This is a 10-month disciple program that focuses on the intersection of what God has to say about faith, poverty and justice and what is God's invitation for us. We focus on five values:
1) Humility
2) Proximity
3) Mutuality
4) Simplicity
5) Centering on Jesus
The Trek helps us get a better understand of the West's role in missions where we focus on the ministry of being vs. doing, relationships vs. productivity.
The Trek has been sending students for 25+ years and we are excited to see what God has for us next summer.
