SIR-RFS- Advocacy, Healthcare Policy, and Economics - Resident Liaison Application
SIR-RFS applications are now open for the role of Resident Liaison, an extension of the SIR-RFS Advocacy, Healthcare Policy, and Economics (AHPE) section. We are looking for 1 resident leader per institution with an interest in organized interventional radiology and advocacy. Your role will be to serve as a direct point of contact between the SIR-RFS and your institution, with the specific goal of increasing the understanding of health policy issues that impact interventional radiologists and our patients. As a new primary specialty in a volatile political climate, interventional radiology needs a strong voice both on Capitol Hill and within training programs! The SIR-RFS AHPE section will rely on you to distribute news and information promoting political advocacy and knowledge of health policy and economics. Additionally, you will serve as a contact for the SIR’s recruitment, educational, and research initiatives. This is a great way to show your interest in organized interventional radiology on your resume! The role will be for the 2018-2019 academic year and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
