2020 Planet Comicon Kansas City Ticket Holder Transfer & Refund Information Form
A message from Christopher Jackson, founder and CEO of PCKC, and the team at Planet Comicon Kansas City.
"Current circumstances involving the pandemic require that we postpone Planet Comicon Kansas City from its currently scheduled dates of April 16-18 to new dates of August 20-22, 2021. New covid-19 infections and reported deaths from covid-19 are at new highs almost daily. The Mayor of Kansas City, Missouri has issued an executive order extending the state of emergency in our city through at least May 15, 2021, and it will not be possible to host any large events in Kansas City until at least after that date. The good news – with the beginnings of vaccine distribution and the hope that by June or July much of the population can be vaccinated, we have high hopes that Planet Comicon KC can have an event in August.
This postponement of Planet Comicon Kansas City is regrettable, however we support this position of the city. The health and safety of those attending Planet Comicon Kansas City is paramount. PCKC has been providing quality entertainment to our fans for more than two decades. PCKC provides a venue for fans to meet their favorite creators and media celebrities, to shop for hard to find collectibles, to enjoy the amazing cosplay and props and displays, to game, to attend panels and presentations and nighttime activities, and so much more. It provides a safe venue for geeks to be themselves and to meet other like-minded geeks. We have developed a community of fans who enjoy and support our show. That support is greatly appreciated. Once it is safe for fans to gather again, we will be back stronger and better than ever."
Christopher Jackson, January 26, 2021
We offer several options for those holding unrefunded tickets for PCKC March 2020 (transferred to April 2021).
1) All unrefunded tickets will be valid, with no action by the ticket holder, for our August 2021 event OR for our April 2022 event (2022 dates to be confirmed). Again, NO action is required by the ticket holder. Any ticket that has not been refunded can be scanned at the Will Call desk at our August 2021 show or April 2022 show and that ticket will be valid for entry. Each ticket is valid for ONE admission at ONE show only. Once scanned at Will Call, a ticket is no longer valid for any other PCKC admission.
ADDITIONALLY, every paid, unrefunded ticket holder who transfers their ticket to either our August 2021 or April 2022 show will receive a Planet Comicon exclusive, authorized Disney "Baby Yoda" pin, from the Mandalorian, at the time they redeem at Will Call their paid ticket for a wristband (or badge, as applicable).
2) Tickets are eligible for refund through April 5, 2021. Simply fill out the form on our web-site to request a refund. Refunds cannot be offered after April 5, 2021, HOWEVER, we will honor ALL March 2020 tickets at either our August 2021 event or April 2022 event, and will provide the bonus Baby Yoda pin for each paid admission at the time it is scanned for entry! (tickets valid one time only! One ticket is not valid for an admission at each event)
Many guests are confirmed for the August 20-22, 2021 PCKC. More guests will be announced in the coming months. For the full roster of guests currently confirmed for our August 20-22, 2021, event, please visit PlanetComicon.com/guests.
More information on new ticket purchases and hotels for August 2021 will be available closer to the new show dates. Tickets sales and hotel blocks are NOT open as of January 25 and we will announce when these do open.
PLEASE NOTE: We anticipate that tickets for our August 2021 show will sell out. If you request a refund of your March 2020 tickets, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to purchase tickets for August 2021. We will open August 2021 sales at some point, however we cannot promise how many tickets will be offered for sale. If you hold your March 2020 tickets, we can guarantee that those March 2020 tickets will be valid at our August 2021 event OR our April 2022 event.
