Purpose:• Improve student leadership skills• Connect underclassmen with upperclassmen for a more cohesive school... stop the loneliness!• Improve transition process between 6th/7th grade and 8th/9th grade
Events Ambassadors will assist with:• 7th Grade and 9th Grade Spring Orientations• 5th Grade Kindness Retreat• 7th Grade Courage Retreat • 8th Grade Respect Retreat• First Day of School• "Ambassadors" the first two weeks of school from 8:00 - 8:15 a.m. and then every Tuesday.
Application Details:• Who can apply to be an Ambassador? Students entering 10th, 11th, and 12th grade next year Students with no record of serious and/or flagrant violations of school rules or civil law. Students wanting to improve their leadership skills.• How do I apply to be an Ambassador? Complete the “Ambassador Application” Google form enclosed...• Do I have to apply to be an Ambassador every year? Yes• How are Ambassadors chosen? Ambassadors are chosen by an anonymous vote from teachers (must have 50% approval rate) and Mrs. Hagen's perception of your leadership skills. • Can an Ambassador be released from their position? Yes An Ambassador can ask to be released from the position. An Administrator can remove an Ambassador from the position if the Ambassador exhibits poor leadership skills at anytime (items include but are not limited to: missing more then 3 Ambassador sessions, detentions - both behavioral or tardy, violation of civil law, inappropriate conduct). It is a privilege to be part of this team… not a right.
