Model Parliament Delegate Application Form

Please join us for the Houghton Model Parliament in November this year! All backgrounds and universities are welcome.

Date: Saturday, 7th November 2015
Venue: 32L, LSE
Time: 9am to 6pm
Delegate Fee: 2 pounds


For the session, the parliament will be discussing and debating the following issues:

• Immigration
• Unconditional cash transfers
• Nuclear disarmament

By role-playing members of parliament, we hope that it will give individuals a first-hand perspective to issues that are not just salient for the UK, but for other countries across the globe as well.

Do note that the composition of the parliament will not be that of the current UK parliament and that parliamentarians are not bound to represent the stances of existing parties. This is so as to promote the generation of new policy ideas independent of the status quo.
