ICSS: Student Team Application
The ICSS seeks to disrupt higher education by putting our students to work on real world, applied questions at every turn. To facilitate that, we provide all of the recruitment, undergraduate project administration, and computational firepower you might need - all you provide is 30 minutes a week for a team meeting, enthusiasm, and the idea. This application is open to any William & Mary faculty member, external collaborator, or W&M student that has an idea that can be appropriately scoped to engage with a highly talented team of undergraduate researchers. What email address would you like to be contacted at?
What company or institution do you represent, and what is your position?
What is the big idea your project seeks to engage with? I.e., if you were pitching this to motivate students to get involved with your project, how would it's success change the world? Bullet points or highlights are encouraged.
What task(s) would you envision as being appropriate for students? We have a range of students - from software developers, to international relations majors, to project managers. We will use this information to match your project with an appropriate group of students.
What is the timeline for your project?
Do you have a student team working on this problem already? How would you envision that team working with these students? If you are at William & Mary, do you have an existing student team you would like the ICSS to take over the administration of?
When would you like to start this project?
Please confirm that you are able to arrange a weekly or bi-weekly meeting to meet with your student team throughout the Fall and Spring academic semesters.
