KAJANG SUNDAY DHAMMA SCHOOL

VISION:
Provides opportunities for children to be future leaders of the Buddhist community.

MISSION:
Instill and develop interest among young children, as well as parents and members, to learn and to live the Buddha Dhamma in their everyday lives.

WEEKLY PROGRAM (every Sunday except school and public holidays):
10.00 am Puja service, metta meditation, hymn singing, school song and dhamma sharing.
11.15 am Group classes - Rahula (5-8 y.o), Assaji (9-12 y.o), Ananda (13-17 y.o)
12.30 pm Lunch

* There will be an adult meditation and dhamma sharing session during the same time. Parents are encouraged to join.
* Volunteers are welcomed - teaching, lunch preparation, dhamma sharing, events, others

YEARLY PROGRAM:
- Singing/Drama/Story telling competition
- Parents Day
- Family Day / trip
- Appreciation Day
- Community Service
- Dhamma Camp

KSDS term calendar is filled with various activities which cater to the different inclinations, needs and skills of the students. Besides learning about Buddha's teaching in dhamma classes, students have the opportunity to showcase their story telling skills, hymn singing abilities, acting talents (Dhamma thru’ drama), fun quiz, tele-sports, creative skills etc. Older students of 13 years old and above have can develop their leadership skills by volunteering as the facilitator of KSDS Dhamma Camp.

Besides KSDS activities, students and parents can take part in the activities organised by BMSM Kajang Branch, BMSM’s Samadhi Vihara at Shah Alam, and Dhammavijaya Meditaton Centre at Dengkil such as Dhamma talks, lunch dana for monastics, Chinese New Year Blessing Ceremony, Qing Ming, Wesak Day celebration, Memorial Services for the Departed, Mid-Autumn Festival celebration and Kathina.
