Event Information
The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA) will present the 60th annual Art Fair on the Square on July 14 & 15, 2018. A summertime destination for visitors from around the region, Art Fair on the Square offers an exceptional array of art, entertainment, and outdoor dining. Live music and entertainment are always a highlight during this local tradition.

Art Fair on the Square serves as the primary fundraiser for MMoCA, Madison's only museum of modern and contemporary art.

Benefits of Volunteering
As a non-profit organization we are unable to offer cash payments to performers. However, in exchange for their time and talent, Art Fair performers will receive the following benefits:

•The opportunity to increase recognition with hundreds of thousands of art enthusiasts.
•The opportunity to sell recordings, videos, and promotional materials at one of the largest outdoor events in the Midwest.
•Recognition in the official guide to Art Fair on the Square.
•Coupons for free food and drink on the day of performance for each performer.

Performance Location
MMoCA schedules entertainment at two live stages and one performance area located around Capitol Square. Slots are 60 minutes long with 30 minute breaks between sets for set-up and tear down.

All accepted performers will be assigned a designated stage area, and set up/start/end times. In light of permit requirements and safety of all involved, MMoCA can only allow performances to take place in approved areas.

Sound
Basic amplification is provided at each stage. Accepted performers will receive further information about the sound equipment available at their assigned performance location in June.

Promo Sales
A table no larger than 4' x 6' may be placed near your stage up to 15 minutes before your performance, and must be removed no later than 15 minutes after your performance. No tents are allowed unless prior consent has been given by the Director of Events.
