P-CCS School of Choice Application for 2020-21 School Year (Second Window, June-July 2020)
Thank you for your interest in Plymouth-Canton Community Schools!

If you have previously accepted placement or received a school assignment in our School of Choice Program, applying again will not change your previously assigned school.

The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Board of Education passed a limited Schools of Choice resolution Tuesday, May 12, opening up a minimum of one seat for Kindergarten through 10th Grade with a maximum of 200 seats for the 2020-21 school year. For the fifth consecutive year, the district will enroll students through the school of choice provisions in Section 105 and 105c, which means that families from Wayne County and all surrounding counties (Washtenaw, Macomb, Oakland, Monroe) are welcome to apply. This is the second application round for the district this year, following the application process that took place in March-April, 2020.

The online School of Choice application window will be open from Thursday, June 18 to Friday, July 17 and can be found at www.pccsk12.com beginning on June 18 at midnight. All applications will be considered after the July 17 deadline; the application window closes at 11:59 p.m. EST on that day. The actual number of School of Choice students enrolled into P-CCS from outside of the District will depend on availability.

Families applying to the Plymouth-Canton Community School District under the School of Choice option are applying to the District and are not given the option to select a particular school. An application must be completed for each child you would like considered for School of Choice. Every effort will be made to place students in the school closest to their home. Placement is made in buildings where space is available.

Applicants that are siblings of current P-CCS School of Choice students will be given sibling preference. According to state law, sibling applicants who are entering Kindergarten through 10th grade for the 2020-21 school year are eligible to apply, and sibling applicants are the first students to be considered when placement offers are made. An application must be completed for each child you would like considered for School of Choice, including siblings of current P-CCS School of Choice students. Siblings will not be considered unless an application is completed and submitted during the application window.

• Once accepted to Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, students will continue to be enrolled until they graduate from high school or move out of the eligible counties.
• There is no extra cost for this program.
• School of Choice students must provide their own transportation to school.
