Fee of $405.00/semester includes the building use fee, all curriculum materials and most supplies.

Curriculum: The foundation of instruction in speech, spelling, and reading will be the Spalding Phonics "Writing Road to Reading." (www.spalding.org) This proven, research-based method has helped millions of children achieve mastery of these skills for more than fifty years. It is used in Anchorage School District ABC Charter Schools. Instruction in cursive handwriting will be with Handwriting Without Tears. Instruction in mechanics of capitalization, punctuation etc. will proceeed via the Grade 4 Dailygrams by Easy Grammar Systems. For writing-Classical Academic Press. For systematic Grammar study I will use Junior Analytical Grammar by R. Robin Finley. Poetry and Literature selections will be taken from classic sources such as The Harp and Laurel Wreath: Poetry and Dictation for the Classical Curriculum by Laura M. Berquist and the Spalding list of fine children's literature. Composition will be taught according to Book I (Fable) of the Writing and Rhetoric Series by Classical Academic Press , 2013.

12:15 - 2:30 pm (Social Studies & Science)

These two classes are offered as a unit, since they are integrated by subject matter and time within the afternoon block of class. Space is limited. In the event that maximum enrollment is reached, your student will be placed on a waiting list. You will receive an email confirmation usually within 24 hours of your student's acceptance into class or placement on the wait list.
