CYC 2018 Student Sign Up

Challenge Youth Conference (CYC) - Deadline to sign up is December 20th, 2017

CYC Dates are - February 22-25, 2018
We will be staying at the "King of the Mountain"

CYC is an excellent Youth Conference held in Pigeon Forge each year. The premise is a different challenge that is extended to the students to aid them in their spiritual lives. The students will hear lectures and attend classes with some great teachings.

We are very excited to offer this as a special trip to our 5th graders and up. We feel that they will benefit greatly from the teaching, fellowship and fun that this weekend will hold.

We will leave South Gate at 5:30pm on Thursday and return at around 2pm on Sunday. Cost is $100 per person if you pay by December 20th, 2017 and $120 if you pay after December 20th, 2017.

$100 Cost Includes
CYC registration
Breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning
Lunch on Saturday
Supper on Friday and Saturday.

Each participant will need money for lunch on Friday (Gatlinburg) and lunch on Sunday (Cookeville) as well as spending money for free time (Go-Karts, etc..). There will be free time on Saturday afternoon.

If you need assistance or know of someone that may need assistance with payments please let Jody or the Elders know.

Registration and Payment deadline for CYC is December 20th, 2017. No guarantees for a spot after December 20th.

11:00pm (Eastern Standard Time) – arrive at cabins
1:00am – lights out

Friday – February 23rd
8:00am - Breakfast in Cabins
9:30am – Group Photo
9:45am – Leave for Gatlinburg
10:15 - Walk the Strip (Lunch in Gatlinburg)
2:30pm – Leave for Pigeon Forge
3:00pm – Free Time in Cabin
4:30pm – Supper at Cabin
5:15pm – leave for Convention Center
6:00pm – 7:30pm – CYC session at the convention center
8:30pm – Free Time in Cabins (Girls Pool Time)
10:30 pm – Devotional
11:00pm - Singing
11:45pm – Lights Out

Saturday – February 24th
6:30am – Wake Up
7:00 - Breakfast in Cabin
7:30am – Leave for convention center
8:00am – CYC session at the convention center
Noon – Leave for Cabin
12:30pm - Lunch at Cabin
1:30pm – Free time in Cabin and other activities (go-kart racing, shopping, etc.).
Girls swim time – 1:30pm
Boys swim time – 3:00pm
6:00pm – Dinner (Pizza)
Girls swim time - 7pm
Boys swim time - 9pm
11:30 pm – Student led singing in cabin
12:00 am – Worship Service
12:45 am – Lights Out

Sunday – February 25th
8:00 am – Wake Up and Pack up – Breakfast in Cabin
9:30 am – Check out (Lunch on the way back home in Cookeville)
2pm CST – Arrive at South Gate church building

My child has an updated Medical Release Form on file with the Student Ministry Office. (All students must have a medical release form on file) Forms can be downloaded at *
My child understand that they must adhere to all rules concerning their conduct on South Gate events. *
Students are not allowed to cuddle or make out on bus/van or anywhere else. Students will be separated if it becomes a problem. Students are not allowed to buy any weapon such as knifes, pellet guns, etc.... Boys and girls are not allowed to be in or around the pool and hot tub together. Appropriate swim wear must be worn during swim time. Guys no speedos and girls no two piece swimsuit. Students 7th - 12th are allowed to walk the strip in Gatlinburg in groups without a chaperone. They must walk in a group and not alone. Chaperones will be walking the strip at the same time. 5th - 6th grade students must have an adult with them at all times on the strip. No shorts or hats allowed at the convention center. No temporary tattoos or any new piercings allowed. No fireworks.
