Gender Infinity Conference 2017 Workshop Proposal
2017 marks the 7th annual Gender Infinity Conference!

The conference will take place Friday and Saturday, October 13-14, 2017, in Houston, TX at the University of Houston Student Center.

Community and professional development workshops will be held on both days of the conference. Attendees include transgender and gender diverse (gender is different than assumed at birth; TGD) people of all ages and their families, allies, professionals working with trans people and their families across education, medicine, law, mental health/counseling, religion/spirituality, child welfare, incarceration, and more. TGD youth under age 18 will have programming on Saturday only. This year, you are welcome to select target audiences with the option to combine community and professional audiences for your workshop.

Gender Infinity aims to create affirming spaces and resources to empower TGD individuals while celebrating infinite gender possibilities. While many of the attendees will be coming to the conference for the first time, others will have attended in previous years. Some attendees may have expertise in working with issues related to gender, while for others, the conference will represent their initial exploration of the topic. Please plan accordingly as you develop your proposal.

Proposals must be submitted by 11:59 PM CST on May 19, 2017. We will contact you by the end of July to let you know if your workshop proposal has been accepted or to update you on its status.

Your personal information will be not be shared and will only used for the purposes of conference-related contact. Please email any questions to info@genderinfinity.org.
