----------------------------------------
Dr. Sarah Zanette is currently seeking responsible, motivated,
and hardworking students wishing to develop research skills in psychology by volunteering with the Child and Social Psychology Research (CaSPR) Lab.
Applications must be submitted by Monday September 5th.
Research volunteers may be involved in several research tasks,
including conducting literature reviews, data collection and analysis, and
knowledge dissemination (e.g., editing manuscripts). In particular, Dr. Zanette
is presently seeking 2 qualified students to assist in projects related to
research on parenting by lying - which is the act of lying to children as a
means of controlling their emotional states or behaviors (e.g.,
"if you don't come with me now, I will leave you in the store
alone").
This role is ideally suited for psychology students entering
their 3rd year of study and who hope to complete an honours thesis in the
future.
Research volunteers must have completed PSYC 204 (or equivalent)
with a grade of 70 or higher, possess strong organizational and time management
skills, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication
skills. Completion of PSYC 210 and 310 would be considered an asset, but
is not required.
Instructions: Interested students are invited to first complete and submit the application form below. After completing this form, please email your CV/resume and unofficial transcript (a screenshot from UR-Self Service is sufficient) to sarah.zanette@uregina.ca with the subject line, "Volunteer Application Form Supporting Files". You application will NOT be reviewed until Dr. Zanette has received your resume/CV and transcript. Applicants not selected for an interview will not be contacted.
Please contact Dr. Zanette at sarah.zanette@uregina.ca with any questions.
Thank you for your interest in the CaSPR Lab!
