ENROLLMENT POLICIES (subject to change)
Thank you for enrolling our Sign Language in Play programming! We are so glad you're here!! You are about to begin (or continue on) a magical journey of wonder and discovery for you, your child and your whole family. We know you will find the research-driven information and activities in our programs nowhere else!

To create a rich learning environment and to provide families with the best programming possible, we have created the following policies:

Withdrawal Requests
All classes run based on meeting minimum enrollment requirements. 7-14 days before the first class, we pay per child materials costs and rents and commit to paying our teachers. As such we truly appreciate your understanding that there are no exceptions to the following:
o Withdrawal requests made 7 or more days before a session begins will receive a full refund minus a $15 cancellation fee
o Withdrawal requests made less than 7 days before the first class of a session will receive a full credit good for 6 months or a full refund minus a $45 cancellation fee
o No refunds or credits will be made after the first class.
o No refunds or credits will be made for missed classes. **Sign Language in Play does not have the ability to offer make-up classes.** Each week''s lesson is individualized and coordinating a time to make-up an exact lesson in the future, in a class that is not full is just very challenging. Therefore, classes are designed to include review elements EACH week and in the final week of each session. Upon request, our teachers are quite happy to spend a bit of time after class reviewing any material. Just ask! :)

Inclement Weather
o We run classes in accordance with the Portland Public Schools (PPS) inclement weather policy. If PPS schools are closed due to weather, we will not be running classes that day. In the event of PPS late openings due to weather, PELP will use discretion in canceling classes and will contact participants via text, email or phone call in the event a class needs to be canceled.

o Please keep sick children home. We understand how disappointing it is to miss class! We are happy to review any material with you upon request at your next class. We build in review throughout each session and in the final week of class to accommodate families who have to miss.

Siblings & Additional Adults:
o We allow up to two(2) adults to attend per family. Additional adults may participate for an additional fee, space permitting. Please check with the Program Director or your individual teacher to determine if space permits.
o Children 3.5 and under (42 mos) are considered to be within the target age range for class. We offer a 50% discount for your second participating child who is under the age of 3.5 (42 mos) .

Liability Waiver:
By registering for a Sign Language in Play (SLiP) program, the parent and/or guardian agrees to:
o Release Sign Language in Play, LLC, its owners, employees, Instructors, and staff from all liability for injury to his/her child from his/her child’s participation in the program
o Allow Sign Language in Play, LLC to use class photographs and/or videos for promotional and teacher education purposes without compensation to his/her child or his/herself.
