The Riverside Innovation Hub is excited to offer the IDI (Intercultural Development Inventory) to our Innovation Teams at our Learning Partner Congregations. This workshop will be one of many opportunities to do some learning and unlearning around the barriers we run into when we try to engage in anti-racism work.
The IDI is a globally used assessment tool to help understand one's capacities and limitations around intercultural engagements and cultural competencies. It is one of many tools to help gain more understanding and capacities to show up in this world as co-creators for justice and peace. To learn more about the IDI visit their website:

1. Through this Google Form, RIH Innovation Team Members and Learning Partners can sign up to participate in taking the IDI assessment, attended a 3 hour Group Workshop day, and an Individual Feedback Session with a Qualified Administrator where they would receive the results of their assessment. Dates and deadlines are below.
2. After signing up, you will receive an access code and instructions to complete the online assessment. This email will come either from Amanda Vetsch, or Diversity and Inclusion department at Augsburg.
3. You will need to complete the 50 question assessment at least 5 days before the training. The assessment should take about 15-30min.
4. You would attend the 3 hour workshop with Joanne Reeck, Chief Inclusion Officer at Augsburg University. This session would include: a shared understanding of helpful language when discussion culture, race, and ethnicity, explaining the spectrum of the IDI, and a composite, group report of the IDI assessments for the folks in this workshop.
5. Participants will sign up, through a google sheet, for a 1 hour session with a Qualified Administrator, or QA, to receive your individual profile report and an Intercultural Development Plan. Participants must have attended the 3 hour group workshop in order to sign up for a session with a Qualified Administrator.
The dates of the two group workshops are:
- Saturday, January 11th from 9am - Noon, in the Marshall Room of the Christensen Center at Augsburg
- Saturday, March 21st from 9am - Noon, in the Marshall Room of the Christensen Center at Augsburg
