SIGN-UP: Spring 2021
Fill out this form to sign up for the University of Minnesota Ballroom Dance Club Spring 2021 Session!
No longer split into club/competitive teams for this semester. Instead we are breaking down into groups of 6-8 people, called pods, that can be a consistent group of closer knit dance buddies that you rehearse with all semester long! We will also be offering larger group classes taught on Fridays by Officers and Alumni.
Our coaches, Kate and Lisa, and each of the officers are really excited about working with each of these pods to give them individualized “formation team” choreography and more personalized lessons to create a medley dance of all your favorite styles. The dancing is all individual but can be performed together with the rest of your pod. DON'T WORRY, this can all be done from home!
Zoom fatigue is real! We get that you are tired of looking at a screen, and we are too. That is why we are limiting the amount of time spent on zoom by making our lessons 20-30 minutes per pod. This allows our coaches to elevate your dancing as much as possible, while spending the least amount of time on Zoom. Pods would organize some practice time outside of these lessons times with the help of a Pod Leader.

This can be for anyone new as well! We will get you ready for a competition if you would like to put in some extra time and energy and compete. It is so much fun! We will be dancing at a Minnesota Ballroom Dance FEST this semester. It is a great event hosted every year, but this year it will likely be held virtually. There may be additional competitions held Nationally that we will be participating in as well.
