Art classes in the Park
This is a 5 week, twice weekly, painting class located in the Concert Grove Pavilion in Prospect Park (near the Lincoln Street entrance) for kids 7-10 years old. We will meet in the Pavilion rain or shine the entire month of JULY Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-6 pm. A light snack of fruit and bottled water will be provided. 

This watercolor techniques class will support all students with creating beautiful art reflecting their inspiration and interests. We will have small exercises broken down step-by-step to esnure access for all experience and comfort levels. Kids will get to draw from their imagination as well as from nature. We will go over the steps of painting at the beginning of each class making it easy for drop-ins to join the class. Kids will be encouraged to create with a focus on fun and not perfection. This course serves to give children the tools to push through moments of frustration when something doesn't look "perfect" and hold on to the joy of creating.
An email will be sent out to the participating families once a week with a round-up of the week including photos. These photos will only be used in this email and never shared on any social media platform without explicit consent from the parent(s)/guardian(s). 

I have a background in children's illustration, childcare, and teaching after school art classes.
