Small Change, Better World Proposal
Small Change, Better World is an initiative designed to catalyze student action on poverty-related issues.

Students who have completed our systemwide online course on Global Poverty & Inequality in the 21st Century, an immersive field study experience, or the Global Scholars Program are often inspired and enthusiastic about taking action, but lack the capital to tackle concrete, outcome-focused projects in their communities.

Small Change seed grants give students an opportunity to meet a tangible need in their own community or a community wherein they’ve worked. This initiative is designed to lower the barriers to engagement and become one of the first in a series of actions that students take over their lifetime, sparking a lifetime commitment to social action.

There will be a limited number of grants of up to $3,000 to support project costs. Funded projects must be achievable within a finite period of time, such as a quarter or semester.
