Information about Sponsors (Godparents)
A Sponsor (often called Godparent) must be at least 16 years old and be a Catholic who has been confirmed and has already received the sacrament of the Most Holy Eucharist and leads a life in harmony with the faith. There may be only one male Sponsor/Godparent or one female Sponsor/Godparent or one of each gender. Along with one Catholic Sponsor/Godparent, it is possible to have a non-Catholic act as a witness.

Letters from the churches of those who act as a Godparent or Witness must be provided to the parish office in advance of the Baptism certifying their active church membership.
