El Sistema@Salty Cricket Summer 2017 Registration
The El Sistema@Salty Cricket summer program is designed to offer our continuing students the chance to remain engaged in the el sistema curriculum they participate in during the regular school year. This curriculum encompasses small group violin instruction, music theory education, orchestra, and other music enrichment aspects. Students who sign up for all 7 weeks of summer programming will be integrated into this regular curriculum and will be prepared for participation in the regular school year program, should they choose to continue beyond the summer. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 weeks to be enrolled in this cohort.

For those who wish to only enroll in selected weeks (not all 7), the curriculum will serve as a primer to the overall el sistema methodology, with an emphasis on personal enrichment through ensemble-based music experiences. Students will be given access to basic elements of rhythm development (bucket band), music theory, and early performance experiences (choral). Each week will be modified to include new information and activities for students who return for more than 1 week, but cannot commit to the whole summer course.

Each cohort will have snack and activity time daily in addition to the rigorous (and fun) music sessions.

Sessions will be held  9 am - 12 pm daily, Monday - Thursday

Students grades PreK-9th welcome.

$80 per week, or $500 for all 7 weeks

Located at Jackson Elementary School (750 W 200 N SLC)

*Everyone 18 years or under will also be eligible for the free lunch program daily at noon at Jackson Elementary, provided through partnerships with the Jackson Elementary community.
