Career Connections 2025 Business Participant Application

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Career Connections program.

This program connects Valencia County and South Valley Albuquerque businesses with digitally-minded youth for paid internships funded by the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions.

Interns selected for this program will receive professional digital marketing and social media training developed and supported by Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. This training ensures that interns are equipped with the tools and knowledge to help your business grow its digital presence while gaining real-world experience.

Program Qualifications: To be eligible to participate in the Career Connections program, your business must meet the following criteria:

  • Headquarters Location: Your business must be headquartered in Valencia County, New Mexico or South Valley Albuquerque.
  • Tax Status: Your business must be in good standing with New Mexico Unemployment Insurance taxes.
  • Intern Experience: You must be willing to provide a meaningful and authentic work experience for the intern throughout the summer program dated June 9, 2025 - August 1, 2025.

Business Participation Requirement *

By submitting this application, the business agrees to actively participate in the Career Connections Internship Program by providing a supportive, professional environment for the assigned intern. This includes:

  • Offering meaningful and relevant work experience related to social media and digital marketing;
  • Providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to support the intern’s growth and development;
  • Designating a point of contact or supervisor who will oversee the intern’s progress and provide regular check-ins;
  • Committing to timely communication with program management regarding intern performance or any issues that arise.

The success of this program depends on a shared commitment. Businesses selected for participation play a vital role in shaping the intern’s experience and are expected to invest time and attention into making this opportunity impactful.
