The Pleasantville Farmers Market – which is operated by the Pleasantville-based nonprofit Foodchester, Inc. under contract with the Village of Pleasantville – invites you to join our Business Supporters Program.
The Market’s mission is to
Foster pride in our Village
Encourage a healthy community by connecting residents with regional producers of wholesome foods, and
Support Pleasantville’s economic development by encouraging more visitors to enjoy the Village’s retail shopping districts and cultural offerings.
When visitors see that Village businesses are visibly supporting the Market, they are even more likely to include strolling in the Village and patronizing local shops after their market visit. As it is now, more than half our shoppers visit Pleasantville retailers as part of their visit to PFM. Our approximately 2,500 weekly visitors in the summer months come from all over Westchester (two-thirds from outside of Pleasantville), and a strong showing of support from the local business community ensures that they will come back to shop, dine and explore. Our philosophy is that we give shoppers an amazing experience in the Market on Saturdays, and we want them to understand that is only the tip of the iceberg of what our Village has to offer. With your help and support, you can make the county’s best farmers market a gateway to more engagement and business with our shopper base.
