Creative and Production Mentorships
Interested in being involved in theatre? Marian St Theatre for Young People provides professional pathways to young people interested in all aspects of theatre, from acting to directing, stage management, technical theatre and more. Here young people are mentored by industry professionals through the process of putting on a professional length season of shows for children. These are very exciting opportunities for young people, many of whom go on to work in the theatre industry in a variety of fields.

Mentorships involve being assigned to one of our production or creative staff to shadow and assist them through the process of mounting a professional length season for children. Different positions involve different time commitments. These are unpaid positions.

If you are a professional and want to work with us, please see the 'Work With Us' page on our website. We do not accept unpaid interns, except as part of a university degree. We believe that a mentorship should be a beneficial arrangement for young artists to learn and gain experience in theatre crafts.

If you are interested in getting involved, please fill out the form below. For more information please call the office on 9411 1800. Please note that due to time and staffing commitments we cannot always find opportunities for all young people interested.

Production mentorships are available for young people 14 to 24 years. Auditions are for those aged 12+, more information can be found here.

Those who have been involved in the Drama School with Marian St Theatre for Young People are always considered first for mentorships.
