Terms of Space Available Busing Application *
SPACE AVAILABLE REQUESTS FOR REGULAR SCHOOL YEAR ARE ACCEPTED BEGINNING JULY 1st AND ENDING APRIL 30th. SPACE AVAILABLE REQUESTS FOR SUMMER SCHOOL ARE ACCEPTED BEGINNING MAY 1ST AND ENDING JUNE 30TH. No Space Available requests will be accepted for the succeeding school year. For example, all requests for the 2018-19 School Year will be accepted beginning July 1st of 2018 and ending on April 30th of 2019. NO new stops or other transportation services will be implemented to accommodate students applying for space available transportation. Therefore, NOT ALL STUDENTS REQUESTING SPACE WILL BE ACCOMMODATED. In the event there are more applications than can be accommodated, they will be processed in order by the date on which the application was received by Transportation.To be considered for SPACE AVAILABLE on September 15th, applications must be received by September 10th. The Transportation Department will notify all applicants of approval or denial around the 15th of September. NO SPACE AVAILABLE STUDENT SHALL RIDE A BUS UNLESS AND UNTIL NOTIFIED THAT THEIR APPLICATION FOR AVAILABLE SPACE BUSING HAS BEEN APPROVED AND THEY HAVE RECEIVED THE BVSD ACCESS BADGE. Due to changes in student populations, programs, and other factors which affect the number of students eligible for transportation during the school year, approval to ride the bus on a space available basis may be revoked at any time. Riding the bus is a privilege and can be revoked at any time due to poor behavior, failure to follow the bus rules, direction by the bus driver, or any action or inaction which impedes the safe operation of the bus or the safety of other students. IMPORTANT: This application will not be processed if the STUDENT'S ID, Last Name, First Name, School of Attendance, and Grade is not accurate!
