The PCGA Recruitment Committee issue Presidential Invitations to a select list of players who are deemed to be the best amateur golfers in the world, allowing them direct entry into the Championship should they wish to accept the Invitation.

All potential applicants who did not receive a Presidential Invitation will have their playing résumé reviewed by the PCGA Recruitment Committee. We will be in touch regarding the status of applications received.

The field is open to 84 players in total. All member associations name their three-player Morse Cup team prior to the start of the Championship.

Traditionally, our field has garnered some of the top-ranked amateur players in the world. With this in mind, your application is being considered. Our Presidential Invitations have a deadline for acceptance and following that, our Recruiting Committee will begin considering all other applications.

If your application is accepted, we will reach out to you asking for confirmation of your plan to participate.

Our Committee reviews all applications (and subsequent updates) objectively, with the interest of making our field as competitive as possible - our number one concern.
