2018 JUST THINK FIRST Scholarship Wakefield High School
The Just Think First Scholarship is awarded to a student who has demonstrated commitment to safe and responsible choices in areas pertaining to teens such as violence, sex, drugs, alcohol, gangs, and negative peer pressure.
Scholarship in the amount of $500 (non-renewable)
All materials due by April 9, 2018
Panelist Interview to take place after school on May 3, 2018
To qualify for the Academic Scholarship an applicant must
-be a Wakefield High School senior
-be a current PTSA member (and have a parent who is a current PTSA member) as of March 31, 2018
-be accepted to an accredited two or four-year college, business, technical or vocational school
-must have a good attendance and discipline record at school
Applications will be judged on the basis of
-Essay (50%) - to be submitted upon completion of this form to
-Panelist Interview (50%)
ALL requirements must be met or the application WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.
-Complete the Application Form and submit it by April 9, 2018
-Submit a copy of an acceptance letter from the college or school you will be attending AND financial department info to
-Submit an essay to
-Participate in the interview session (date May 3, 2018)
-Submit all required application documents with the subject JUST THINK FIRST to
by April 9, 2018
-Complete the following financial information for your college or trade school (go to financial aid and scholarship section for your school) include the following information:
-Where do scholarship checks need to be mailed to?
-To who's attention do they go to?
-What needs to be noted in a letter or on the check?
Note: Scholarship Award will be presented at Senior Class Night on May 24, 2018
