Karen McManus will share her stash of beads, buttons, findings, old jewelry that needs to be “repurposed”, and ideas for pieces that could sell well, using wire wrapping and bead stringing for example.
Leigh Aquart will share her "garage store" of beads, findings, embellishments and coach anyone who wants to try bead weaving (peyote stitch, brick stitch, Ndebele stitch and using a bead loom).
There is room for a maximum of 6 people at these informal workshops so please register...we always have fun chatting and sharing ideas. And to repeat the Ujamaa mantra - make what you like, like what you make.
We plan to get together every Wednesday 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (or whenever you choose to leave), at either Leigh's or Karen's house. Coffee and tea will be provided. Please bring your own snacks/lunch and reading glasses too!
And if you don't enjoy crushing random spilled beads with your bare feet, please bring your indoor shoes/slippers to change into. Thanks!
Address will be forwarded to registered UJAMAA Members.
We will work on the following:
Even count using size 10 and 11 Miyuki delica beads
