IWL Roundtable Call for Proposals
The Foreign Language Roundtable series was started almost five years ago by Emily Scida of the Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese Dept. It’s a very informal series of 3-4 sessions each semester with presenters from a wide range of languages/programs. They are almost always on Friday afternoons (starting at 3:00 or 3:00 pm). The purpose is generally to share ideas, information, and teaching methods that may be useful and interesting to everyone teaching languages within the UVA Institute of World Languages as well as encourage this collegiality and exchange between the IWL and other UVA departments and programs. The formats vary and include lectures, teaching workshops, roundtable discussions, panel discussions, hands-on demonstration, and poster sessions. We are now accepting proposals for the Spring 2017 and Fall 2017.
