Field Trips and Service Learning Application
We can't wait for your visit to Real Food Farm! Get ready to experience our two working farms--Clifton Park and Perlman Place--where we grow thousands of pounds of produce for sale in Baltimore. Taste seasonally available fresh produce, explore our diverse biohabitat with native plants and pollinators, learn about issues surrounding food justice in our cities, and develop translatable farming skills through our hands-on agricultural activities.
We have a fixed rate $10 per student/participant, regardless of age or length of visit.

Our farms are open for field trips in the months of March, April, May, September, October and November.
Request a start time for your trip. Field trips are generally available starting at 9:00 am on Tuesday - Friday.
If you have special scheduling requests let us know and we may be able to make adjustments.
How long would you like your trip to be?
We've found that kids start losing steam after about 2 hours, so we recommend not going over 3 hours.
Which Real Food Farm location would you like to visit?
Clifton Park (2701 Saint Lo Drive): Located in Clifton Park, this 6 acre urban farm is home to 8 hoop houses, 4 outdoor fields, and 100+ fruit trees. It also houses a greenhouse and hydroponic system, an educational pavilion and a rain garden.
Perlman Pl. (1950 Perlman Pl): Located on 2 acres right outside Clifton Park, this urban farm built upon formerly vacant land is home to 2 production fields, an orchard and the Real Food Farm Community Garden.

Field Trip: Involves a tour of our farm, hands-on agricultural activities and/or the choice of one of three field trip lesson plans (Parts of the Plant, Bees and Pollinators, or Food/Environmental Justice).
Service Learning: Your group will receive a brief tour and will provide help on the farm such as turning compost, mulching trees, weeding our educational growing area, etc. .
