Call for evidence: Upcoming webinar and report on disability and food insecurity
On Monday February 22nd (4-5.30pm) Feeding Britain, the Independent Food Aid Network (IFAN) and the University of York will host a webinar discussion on structural inequalities, disability and food insecurity.
The session will consider three broad questions:
1. How does disability shape experiences of being able to afford and access food?
2. How do Government policies create and exacerbate disability inequality in terms of being able to afford or access food?
3. What can be done to confront structural inequality in the face of an increasing need for emergency food aid disproportionately impacting disabled people?
ABOUT SUBMITTING EVIDENCE:
If you are a disabled person and would like to share in confidence your thoughts or experience of poverty and food insecurity, you can do so via this form. We would also very much welcome the thought and experience of those working in the food aid sector.
This submission does not need to be formal, and does not necessarily have to address the questions detailed above although this would be helpful. All thoughts and reflections on experience are welcome.
