Volunteer for JA in a Day Sign Up
Dear Parents/Guardians,

This year on March 8, 2019, our school will be participating in a unique hands-on education program operated by JA of Central Maryland called JA in a Day. This in-classroom event teaches students about the important elements of community and economy, world readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial skills.

To ensure a successful event, we need at least one volunteer for each classroom. The volunteer will lead each of the activities while the classroom teacher works in a supporting role. Each session has detailed instructions and is designed for community members who are volunteering. Volunteers are required to participate in an orientation at which time curriculum, training, and support will be provided by Junior Achievement.

Volunteer Expectations:
• Time commitment on March 8th is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:05 p.m.
• Attend the volunteer training on February 12th at 6:00 p.m.
• Understand it is possible you may not be assigned to your child’s classroom, but we will do our best to accommodate requests
• Supported preparation beforehand to ensure a smooth day
• Enthusiasm and a willingness to work with students!

Thank you in advance for your time and commitment to making our JA in a Day event a positive and valuable experience for all!
