Thank you for interest in applying for a Head Coach or Assistant Coach in the WABL 2026 season for the Perry Lakes Hawks. With the new Appointment of our Player Coach & Pathway Manager, we are striving to continue and grow our program as well as invest and empower in our people. 

A few things you need to know before completing the EOI:

- We ask that you make yourself available for an interview with Hawks Player Coach and Pathway Manager.

- As a Hawks WABL Coach or Assistant, you will promote and uphold the Hawk Values – Pride – Passion – Perseverance – Respect and Leadership

- Hawks Player Coach and Pathway Manager will have the final approval of all team lists after consultation with the coaches.

-WABL trials will be held in October 2025. 

-Teams selected at these trials will compete at State Champs (Nov & Dec).

- Appointed WABL coaches will be requested to coach in the State Championships which run in November & December 2025.

- State Champs will also form part of our WABL selection process.

- Our 2026 WABL teams will be finalised after State Champs. No further trials will be held. 

- Coaches are expected to help in trials for different age groups to ensure age group coaches can focus on selecting their teams. 

- The WABL season, including grading runs from late February until Mid-September. 

All submissions will be reviewed, and interviews will be set up; all applicants will then be contacted before the formal announcement.
