Details: HCC will be hosting a weekend of adaptive mountain bike riding at LP Eco Centre. There will be a learn to ride aMTB camp for beginners as well as rides for intermediate riders, a demo day/ group ride, and advanced group ride at the beautiful Turkey Point MTB Club trails.

For out-of-town attendees, LP Eco has some options for semi accessible accommodations and there is a fully accessible washroom and roll in shower in the main Eco Centre building. https://www.lpfun.ca/

We will have a number of adaptive bikes available to ride including a Sport-On Explorer, a Lasher, a Bowhead Reach, Rx, and Rogue. These will be shared among beginner participants who do not have their own bikes. Ride time will vary depending on which bike suits your needs best but the goal is to get you out on the trails for a couple of hours morning and afternoon. Sunday Demo day all are welcome to stay, but again ride time will depend on number of bike available vs. participants.

Completion of this form does not guarantee a spot in the camp. Spaces are dependent on equipment availability, accommodation availability, and instructor ratios. Priority given to first time attendees.  There will also be a modest registration fee for the event to help cover event expenses as well as a fee for accommodations. Lunches will be provided, other meals are at your own expense.

Estimated fees:
Single day riding (Friday or Saturday)- no accommodations $75
2 days riding- no accommodations $150
2 days riding with accommodations overnight Sat- $250
Full weekend (Ride Fri and Sat & staying for demo day) - $300
Sunday Drop in for Demo Day- New Riders only- $30 (equipment and instruction provided)

HCC is a non-profit organization and these fees will be used to directly offset costs to run this program. We are committed to inclusion in our club therefore please reach out if you have barriers to attending, including the cost and we can discuss a sliding scale fee if necessary.

Participants will be required to become members of the Handcycling Club of Canada for insurance purposes. Registration can be found here:

We welcome and support people of all abilities, backgrounds, identities, and experiences. We strive to create safe, inclusive spaces that celebrate diversity and foster positive connections.
